Dear Friends,
Reaching milestones is nothing new at UCF. But, each time we reach a new one, it is a source of great pride.

Last year, UCF faculty and staff members took us across yet another milestone in the employee giving campaign. You and your colleagues contributed an all-time high of $607,000 to support university programs, services, facilities, and scholarships. Participation was also higher than ever. For the first time, every unit on campus was involved. This is important because extensive employee participation says to our friends in Central Florida that we are focused on a common goal: making UCF the best it can be now and in the future.

The 2013 Faculty & Staff Campaign will run between Feb. 1 and Feb. 28, 2013. Martha and I invite you to join us and participate again, or start a tradition of giving if you have not been part of the campaign before. Every gift, regardless of the amount, helps UCF to stand for opportunity. Thank you for making a contribution to this year’s Faculty & Staff Campaign, and thank you for all that you do for UCF.

Payroll Deduction

Payroll deduction is now available online. Submit your pledge at https://believe.ucffund.org/payroll or complete the donation form with your deduction information.

During the course of one year:

$2 per pay period adds up to a $52 donation
$5 per pay period adds up to a $130 donation
$10 per pay period adds up to a $260 donation
$20 per pay period adds up to a $520 donation
$40 per pay period adds up to a $1,040 donation (President’s Circle Recognition)

Matching Gifts

Matching gift programs can double your gift to UCF. To check if your spouse’s employer participates in one of these programs, enter the company name on our website at matchinggifts.com/ucf, or check with his/her human resources office.

Complete the paper or online form (each employer has different requirements) and return it to us. You may include it along with your contribution and pledge form or you may give it to us any time within a month of your donation.

I already work here. Why should I give?: Your gift helps fund important programs at UCF. As faculty and staff members, you know areas of need that may not be well supported. Your participation says you believe in UCF and encourages the support of future donors.
How much should I give?: Every gift is important. Whatever you can give is meaningful and has a great impact on students and programs.
I already made a gift to UCF this year. Will that count toward the Faculty & Staff Campaign?: Yes. Any gift or pledge made by a UCF employee during the current fiscal year—July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013—will count.
Can I specify where my gift goes?: Yes. You may designate your gift to support any program or fund.
Can I designate more than one area?: Yes. You may give to one program, or several.
Is my gift tax deductible?: Yes. Your gift is eligible for tax deduction in accordance with IRS regulations during the calendar year that you make your gift. Consult your tax professional for more information.
Can I make my payroll deduction online?: Yes. You may make your gift online using payroll deduction or a credit card. Visit believe.ucffund.org to complete the form.

Can I name UCF as a beneficiary in my estate?

Yes. You may designate the UCF Foundation, Inc. as a beneficiary to your life insurance policy, your retirement plan or your will. Contact the Office of Gift Planning for more information at 407.882.1554.

What if my spouse works for a matching gift company?

If your spouse’s employer participates in a matching gift program, complete the paper or online form (each employer has different requirements) and return it to us. You may include it along with your contribution and pledge form or you may submit it within a month of your donation.

Can I make a gift to the Golden Knights Club (GKC) through the Faculty & Staff Campaign?

Yes. If you choose to use payroll deduction, please use the section on the form marked “Golden Knights Club Gifts,” or visit believe.ucffund.org to make your gift online. All gifts to the GKC must be completed prior to June 30, 2013 to be eligible for Fall 2013 benefits.

When will I get my tax receipt?

Payroll deduction—Your charitable contribution will appear on your W-2 form at the end of the year.
GKC donations—You will receive a year-end tax statement.
Check or credit card (non-GKC gifts) donations—You will receive an email receipt within 72 hours of the processing of your gift.
